What I see in front of me,
is painfully beautiful
If I could reach out, touch,
I would soak in the colors
The puppet has my hands tied
Fault lines I cannot see, heave to life
Spewing out images of what was,
what could be,
what walked away
Images I don't want to see
Images that mock
Images exhumed
Friends of the puppet
I watch the parody
Laugh with the grains of a story
told in black, white, silver and grey
The images, the puppet, the colors applaud
I cannot clap
The puppet has my hands tied
The pain sinks in through my eyes
It is beautiful
